Addresses, phone numbers, and apostille requirements for the consulates general in Toronto — with a note on whether each country even needs the consulate now that so many accept an apostille.
In short
Do I need to visit my country's consulate in Toronto?
For most destinations, no. Now that the country is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Ontario apostille is accepted directly and you never need the consulate to legalize your documents. You would still visit a consulate for visas, passports, or notarial acts, or when your destination is not a Hague member and requires full consular legalization.
