Apostille for a student visa
A student visa file usually needs more than your diploma — the consulate also wants apostilled civil documents such as your birth certificate, plus proof of funds and your acceptance letter. We authenticate the Ontario-issued pieces in person so the whole package clears together.

A study-abroad admission and a student visa are two different reviews. Admissions cares about your academic record; the visa section of the consulate cares about who you are and whether you can support yourself. That second review is where an apostilled birth certificate and, for dependants, marriage or custody documents come in.
Which documents get apostilled depends entirely on the country issuing the visa. Italy, for example, commonly requires a Declaration of Value or a CIMEA statement alongside authenticated academic records, while other countries simply want the birth certificate and acceptance letter authenticated. We file the Ontario documents; the acceptance letter and proof of funds are usually presented as-is unless your consulate says otherwise.
Timing matters more here than anywhere else, because visa appointments are booked weeks ahead and a rejected document means rebooking. Get the authentication done before your appointment, not the week of.

Before you order — confirm your specifics
Student-visa document lists differ by country and change between intakes — proof of funds and acceptance letters are often accepted without authentication, but not always. Do not assume; send us your consulate’s checklist and we’ll tell you exactly which items we can authenticate.
